The Shrine Acre

The journey through the ritual year is a complex road for those working within the ritual domain of the Draconian Grimoire, also known as the Dragon-book of Essex. From the daily stellar transvocation to the nine great sabbats, and all the interstitial workings between. With that in mind I offer here now a physical tool designed to be placed within the shrine of the Draconist, to serve as a visual and symbolic guide to the daily work and the journey taken throughout the year.

The Stellar Transvocation

At the centre of the wheel lies the centre of the praxis, the dragons spiral that marks the fourteen holy shrines of Azhdeha. Provided is a red and black jasper bead, symbolic of the journey of the red and black snake, and in the very centre lies the domain of the Black Moon.

The Eight Sabbats

Around the outside of the circle reside the earth signs of the seven great tides of the year, and the mystery of I during the time of the Black Sun.

The Ninth Sabbat

At that most sacred time and alignment of IA, the hidden sabbat, an additional disc is here offered, to be placed atop the centre of the wheel and in which the red and black jasper can reside in the centre thereof in alignment with Thu’ban.

The Iconostasis of the Self

To symbolically mark your journey through the year a small vessel is provided, its intent to serve as a reliquary for a piece of earth from the Draconists own blood acre. The vessel is a handmade wheel-thrown pot crafted from stoneware clay and glazed in blue and bronze. Inside the vessel is an obsidian carving, that I offer here to the Draconist for inclusion in their own sacred urn if they so desire. The vessel can be placed outside the earth circles if the practitioner wishes to mark the workings between.

Invocation unto the Wheel of Time

A written invocatory offering unto the acre will be provided to allow the Draconist to bring this piece into alignment with their working.
